NBA Daily Blog Western Conference Finals: THE OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER ADVANCE TO THE NBA FINALS. WINS GAME 6 VS THE SPURS 107-99.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are heading to the NBA Finals as they come back from a 18 point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals at the Chesapeake Energy Arena 107-99. The Thunder after a sloppy first half finished the game shooting 50% from the field and 56% from 3 point range. The Spurs who had a great first half finished flat shooting only 44% from the field and 42% from 3 point range. The Thunder advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since the team moved from Seattle where their last Finals appearance was in 1996 when they faced the Chicago Bulls and lost in 6 games. The Thunder now await the winner from the Eastern Conference between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics with Game 6 coming up tomorrow in Boston with the Celtics leading the series 3-2.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with a double-double 34 points and 14 rebounds with 5 assists and 2 blocks on 9-17 FG shooting, 4-8 3PT shooting and 12-15 FT shooting. Russell Westbrook added 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists on 9-17 FG shooting, 1-1 3PT shooting and 6-7 FT shooting. James Harden off the bench added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists on 4-9 FG shooting, 3-4 3PT shooting and 5-6 FT shooting. Serge Ibaka added 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks on 4-8 FG shooting and 2-3 FT shooting. Derek Fisher scored 9 points on 4-7 FG shooting and 1-3 3PT shooting. Thabo Sefolosha also scored 9 points with 4 rebounds and 2 steals on 4-5 FG shooting and 1-2 FT shooting.

Tony Parker led the Spurs with a double-dobule 29 points and 12 assists with 2 steals on 12-27 FG shooting, 1-4 3PT shooting and 4-5 FT shooting. Tim Duncan also finished with a double-double 25 points and 14 rebounds with 2 blocks on 11-23 FG shooting and 3-4 FT shooting. Stephen Jackson off the bench added 23 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals on 6-7 3PT shooting and 5-6 FT shooting. Manu Ginobili added 10 points and 5 rebounds on 4-12 FG shooting and 2-8 FT shooting.

Even though the Thunder are heading to the NBA Finals, I feel sorry for the city of Seattle. 4 years after they moved out of town, there in the NBA Finals.
